NHS Health Checks

What is an NHS Health Check?

An NHS Health Check is a FREE health check-up for adults in England aged 40-74. It’s designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing one of these conditions and an NHS Health Check helps to identify and lower these risks.

Am I eligible?

All patients aged 40-74 who do not have any pre-existing cardiovascular conditions, and have not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years are eligible.

What is involved?

You will be booked in for an appointment with a member of our friendly Nursing/HCA team, this appointment will last approximately 15 minutes. During the appointment you will be asked various lifestyle questions and will have several checks done e.g. blood pressure, height, weight, blood test. Your results will then be reviewed by a Doctor and we will be in contact with you should there be any further action required.

SO DON’T DELAY, BOOK YOUR HEALTH CHECK TODAY!
